12 years ago, we had an idea: What if we made mental health fun? Inspired by a friend, Co-founder Jeff Sparr tried his hand at painting to help cope with his OCD. After feeling the benefits of creativity, Jeff wanted to share this new passion with as many people as possible. This idea launched PeaceLove.
For 12 years, PeaceLove brought expressive arts programming into communities with the goal of making it easier to have conversations about the way we feel inside. Each year we grew, reaching new populations. We delivered expressive arts experiences to over 100,000 individuals, but there was more work to be done. With each year, we saw the need for safe spaces and creative outlets growing. We wanted everyone to have access to creativity as a life-changing tool. So we created Scribl.
Rooted in the same beliefs as our tried and true PeaceLove curriculum, Scribl allows us to share stories and open creative dialogue at a moment’s notice. Anyone, anywhere, can join us through our live workshops, on demand videos, and kits.
Everyone’s relationship with their mental health is unique. But really, our model is simple: Make stuff. Feel better.
