About Workshop

Peace of mind can seem elusive or out of reach. Yet sometimes simplicity brings about that peaceful moment you crave. The Grab Bag virtual workshop focuses on telling a story through a collection of random objects. Making sense out of randomness really engages participants to create stories which allow connection with others and a sense of community. By using the random objects in front you, you will explore and create a story which brings you peace of mind. Then share the experience by telling the story to the group. Simple, easy and collaborative — take this workshop and feel connected.

Guide

Kimberly DiOrio-Rooney is a Trainer and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Kim became an adolescent school social worker in 2015 and shortly after, she discovered our programming. As Kim worked with over 150 teens within her school, she found the creative freedom allowed more students to open up about things that were bothering them. Kimberly believes that creativity can unlock thoughts and feelings that words sometimes cannot define. Kim is a passionate dance teacher and enjoys using all forms of creativity for self-expression.
